his music always represented ‘LIFE’ to me & at various times in my life its given me just that.

if you are unfamiliar, last year i was hospitalized for a week w/ heart failure & fought for my life.

recently, a great friend shared a story of a gentleman who was quite extraordinary. his name, ray neighbor.

ray neighbor is a ten year pancreatic cancer survivor.

(if you are unfamiliar with pancreatic cancer, its cancer in its most aggressive & most debilitating form)

ray is also a father, poet & friend loved by many.

ray was diagnosed with cancer ten years ago & told he only had a couple years to survive.

ten years later, he’s still with us, fighting everyday & sharing his amazing journey.

recently, i was made aware he entered a poetry contest. not only did i want to vote, i wanted to use whatever platform i had to inform & encourage others to vote as well.

ladies, brian mcknight is NOT the dude you, or i wanna to watch – or hear – or sing about sex in graphic terms.

still, mcknight unwittingly brought attention to a minimally-discussed problem: most men (& quite frankly some women) dont actually know how a p#ssy works & knowing is 1/2 the battle, right?

in opposition, not knowing how it works can pose health risks; especially to the owner, not to mention a lifetime of unsatisfying sexual experiences.

mcknight has thus presented a golden learning opportunity, we may as well take advantage.

so ladies, inspired by the song, heres a list of questions you should ask your ob-gyn – or brian ‘bring it to me first’ mcknight – about ‘cha vaginas:

1. what are the health risks of waxing or shaving, versus just trimming or going au naturale? what about vajazzling?

2. do you recommend the diva cup over tampons & pads?

3. do kegel exercises really work? should i add vaginal weights?

4. how can i tell if i have a yeast infection or something more serious?

5. how do i treat recurring UTI’s?

6. can i still get the HPV vaccine? is it worth it?

7. how often should i get tested for STD’s, & which ones should i get tested for?

im just going to dismiss this video as brian having a laugh at our expense quite frankly because i refuse to believe he’s serious.

the musical genre formerly known as rNb has suffered enough.

as for the song itself – true, women need to know how their own vaginas work, but an rNb singer wouldn’t be my 1st choice to write the vaginal owners manual
